A small team of five staff in Bursar (Cashier) Services is responsible for providing customer service to students, faculty, staff and parents, including receiving fees, disbursing funds and accepting deposits, as well as administrative reconciling. University Bursar Allen Moreno explained that customer service includes helping students navigate campus, answering their questions when possible and cashiering.

Business Contracts Office brings innovation and services to thousands of university contracts annually

UTPD’s interest-based district representative builds relationships with LGBTQIA+ community

Sergeant David Chambers was commissioned as a peace officer for the University of Texas Police Department (UTPD) in 2016. Close to a year later, UTPD developed an interest-based representation program to provide law enforcement connections and resources to specific groups. When approached by UTPD leadership to be the representative for the LGBTQIA+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and asexual, plus allies), Chambers, who identifies as gay, agreed right away.

As part of the President’s Staff Awards, on May 12, the UT Tower was lit in honor of award recipients. Every year the university president honors staff who contribute to the institution’s success by granting 30 Outstanding Staff Awards and four Outstanding Supervisor Awards. This year six FAS staff received the prestigious Outstanding Staff Award.
