Campus works together to provide new tools and guidance for ProCard Program

For two years, more than 40 stakeholders across 12 units worked together to draft new policies, procedures and guidance for the university’s Procurement Card (ProCard) Program. Through research, stakeholder engagement and focus groups, the ProCard project was able to galvanize a path forward for the popular purchasing program.

Rebooting devices after updates will increase security, protect data

In an effort to improve security, Technology Resources (TRecs) will begin requiring that all devices be rebooted after updates have been applied.

Starting in December 2019, users will be required to restart their devices after they have received updates, which typically take place on the second Tuesday of each month. This will ensure that computers are up to date and should minimize service disruptions while also preventing unauthorized access or use of university devices.

Last month, the UT Health Austin WorkLife Walk-in Clinic, part of the Dell Medical School, moved into a newly constructed space on the first floor of the Health Transformation Building (HTB). The office was previously located on the ninth floor of HTB.

Business and Financial Services collaborates to achieve innovation, service

Through collaboration among Business and Financial Services (BFS), Technology Resources (TRecs) and Information Quest (IQ), the BFS Financials web-based application provides FAS departments with visualizations of financial data at their fingertips--by unit, subunit and budget code for most account types. Year-over-year dashboards allow comparison of one period to a comparable one.

Flexible Work Arrangements policy launched

These employees developed a policy recommendation that both reflects the needs of our modern workforce and conforms to existing university policy.
