Document Solutions’ Mail Services Division wins national award
In recognition of their outstanding improvements to processes and procedures related to mail and mail handling, the Mail Services division of Document Solutions was presented with In-plant Printing and Mailing Association’s (IPMA) Mail Center Award for 2022. IPMA is a professional association comprising in-plant printing and mailing facilities throughout the United States.
“This is wonderful news and recognition for outstanding employees who provided meritorious service for our university,” said Document Solutions Director Richard Beto.
According to Beto, the Mail Services Division had to adapt quickly to the challenges of COVID-19 and what that meant for events that were not possible in person.
“There was a demand for expanding services quickly, and we had to pivot on almost a daily basis to meet the enormous increase,” Beto said. “One example is New Student Orientation—many colleges and schools needed to send students welcome items as well as packets and materials. We had to step up to be able to handle the increased logistics of collating, boxing, and mailing that was needed.”
Beto said the division’s adaptability is a case study in illustrating flexibility, endurance, initiative, loyalty, and determination.
“The IPMA Awards annually show the best of what in-plants do to support their parent companies,” said IPMA Executive Director Mike Loyd.
This is the second IPMA award Document Solutions’ Mail Services division has received.
